Why is it we cannot accept responsibility for our OWN actions? Too many people have led us to where we are today, but the previous administration is the only one being held accountable by many. What about the people who wanted everything NOW, and spent their way there by charging everything? What about the execs who bankrupt companies but walk away with millions? What about the accounting companies who tell us everything is OK, when they are complicit in committing fraud and have NOTHING happen to them? What about the board of directors who are suppose to look out the the welfare of the company and look out for themselves and higher management only? Socialism doesn’t work - look at the former Soviet Union. By attempting to salvage companies that choose unethical business priniciples, what are we teaching our children? What financial burden are we saddling our children and grandchildren with for our greed? It is going to hurt in the short run, but if we pass this stimulus bill, we won’t need another 9/11 - we will willingly destroy our nation! I am a lifelong registered Democrat, but I am also a member of the military and a grandchild of immigrants. As a military member, I take an oath to uphold the Constitution, NOT politicians. As 2nd generation American, I know the opportunities this nation has given my family and do not take them lightly. We need to get down to basics before it’s too late.
