A History Lesson From A 4 Yr. Old

See Video

A four year old takes time out of his busy schedule to give grown-ups an American history lesson. Watch him explain the Declaration of Independence, the Boston Tea Party and the rights of American citizens.

Even he understands citizens should be in charge! Take some time out of your schedule to find out how ballot initiatives can work for you at http://www.CitizensInCharge.org

The Folly of the Economic “Stimulus” Package

The news is dominated by all the talk and debate of the so-called economic “stimulus” package, which, in the House-passed version is said to be $815 billion, while the version under consideration in the Senate is (not surprisingly) even more expensive at something closer to $900 billion. None of these figures take into account the true cost of the program when the interest on newly incurred debt is added (those figures have a range beginning at $1.2 trillion with a limit no one even knows).

John McCain On Taxing Rich People

See Video

John McCain decries Obama supporting repealing Bush’s cuts in the top margin tax rates, calling it “socialism”, yet when he was more truly “straight talking” back in 2000 his position was quite different.

Barney Frank: Plenty of rich people that we can tax

See Video

Love him or hate him Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee speaks his mind with much greater candor than most politicians on Capitol Hill. But the last thing the economy needs is “a healthy dose of Keynesianism” as he stated. Does he not remember when he was in his thirties how John Maynard Keynes’ theories were proven to result in stagflation?

“Gang of Ten” Has 6 Who Broke The National Taxpayer Protection Pledge

I would like to take this opportunity to call out the following Senators to explain their actions as a part of the “Gang of Ten,” and how their involvement in this legislation broke The National Taxpayer Protection Pledge. Saxby Chambliss, Johnny Isakson, Ben Nelson, Lindsey Graham, John Thune, and Bob Corker, what does this pledge mean to you? The Americans for Tax Reform is quite specific with the wording:

I pledge to the taxpayers of the _____ district of the State of _________ and to the American People that I will:

ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and

65 MPG Ford Available in November… Too Bad The Government Is Keeping You From Buying One

This November, Ford is expanding their slate of vehicles to include the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, a sporty five-seater that gets a whopping 65 miles per gallon. This is great news for those of us that want to combat higher gas prices when the time comes to replace our current vehicles. It is very reasonably priced, and it will be available for purchase in the last quarter of this year.

Community Organizers and GOP Politicians: Enemies of the Taxpayer

By: David T. Beito

In an editorial, the Chicago Sun-Times takes offense at Paln and Giuliani’s belittlement of Obama’s record as a community organizer:

Republicans insist that people should pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. Communities should take care of their own and not depend on big government to do the job. And the folks who do make it should give back.

We agree wholeheartedly.

But on what is the job of community organizer premised, if not those very principles?.
