Obama Administration faces criticism from press
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs faced some tough questions today, first from CBS reporter Chip Reid and then from Helen Thomas. The issue was that the Obama Administration is stacking the deck at town hall meetings and isn’t being transparent. Thomas pointed out that the administration is showing a “pattern of controlling the press.”

The Obama administration made it clear this week on Thursday that staying on message is far more important than embracing diversity and individual choice. Vice President Joe Biden appeared on the Today show and played the role of concerned father and husband by saying,

Obama’s Budget Deficit Heroics
It has been widely reported today that President Obama plans to cut the budget deficit in half by 2013. On the surface, this sounds like a great accomplishment. In fact, if you read the remarks by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs or Obama’s own message at the Fiscal Responsibility Summit, you would quickly conclude that this administration is committed to tight spending controls and economic conservatism. This is just typical White House spin.
