Old Media
The New Media
To our faithful readers, we apologize for not updating since Tuesday. We’re all in various modes of travel back to our homes and trying to “recover” from a busy and exciting Rally for the Republic.
This morning, I’m visiting family in Plano, TX, doing something I rarely, rarely do- watch the “old media” on television. While listening to Meredith Vieira, of NBC’s Today Show, interview Katie Couric and Brian Williams on the floor of the Republican Convention in St. Paul, I was shocked by something I heard Katie say-
What is the media? You can’t paint it in the broad stroke you used to. It includes the thousands and thousands of bloggers and partisan reporters.
Glenn & Penn Discuss Barr, Paul and Politics
Wow - its amazing to see how far CNN anchor Glenn Beck has progressed over the last few years. Just months ago, every discussion on his show intertwined with foreign intervention in pursuit of terrorists Now he is, perhaps, the leading “old media” commentator on the real issues of our time- the dollar crisis, free speech, economic nationalization, and nanny-state liberalism.

We Will Not Fall in Line
While it can’t be called a resounding victory, the 128,000 votes captured by Congressman Ron Paul in the Pennsylvania primary does send the GOP establishment a message…
We will not fall in line.
When you add in the addtional 90,000 votes garnered by Governor Mike Huckabee, it’s clear that not every Republican voter is satisfied with the presumptive nominee, Senator John McCain.
Dr. Paul is closing in on nearly 1 million votes in the state primaries and caucuses and yet he is still ignored by the Old Media and seems to be given even less consideration by his own party.
Are they ignoring Dr. Paul, his message of liberty and his supporters at their own risk?
Time will tell.
