WASHINGTON – Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.

Ron Paul: What if the American People Learn the Truth?
What if we wake up one day and learn that the terrorist threat is a predictable consequence of our meddling in affairs of others and has nothing to do with us being free and prosperous?
Reclaim Your Republic
No other election day has held the level of significance for me than this one does. While I’ve always voted, this was the first election cycle in which I took an avid interest and actually became involved in the political scene. For nine months, I was an active supporter of my hero, Dr. Ron Paul. After Super Tuesday, and it became evident that Dr.
Iraqi Parliament Standing Up Against The Empire
Last week we published an article “Bush Agrees to Timetable” that gave a 100 mile flyover of the “sticky situation” the Bush Administration is in with regards to its Iraq policy. Over the weekend public reporting of the issue has matured and it seems that the security agreement being pushed by the U.S. is not only in a fragile state, but also unlikely to pass in its current form.
What a Choice- Imperialism or Socialism
Gone are the days of the old Republican Party- a party that supported the principles of less government, low spending, low taxes, the rule of law, and the United States Constitution. Nowadays, Republicans spend as much as Democrats, burdening future generations with inevitable tax hikes, and making our federal government larger and more powerful than one could have imagined possible just a few years ago.
New Central Command Leader Petraeus Supports Talks With Taliban
General Petraeus, who is just about to take over the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) this week after a nearly two year stint overseeing “the surge” in Iraq, favors stepping up reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan with insurgent remnents of the Taliban. While we can safely assume a President Obama would support this measure if he had political cover from typically hard-nosed generals, how would a President McCain respond? The answer is he would support it, but he also considently ridicules anyone who wants to talk with enemy heads of state as “giving legitimacy” to them as leaders or their beliefs. Talking with the Taliban, a brutal former regime that actively harbored terrorists, would go completely against the doctrine President Bush publically reinforced for years.
Chuck Hagel is a Good Choice for Secretary of Defense
Barring a miracle of epic proportions, less than one week from now the nation will choose Sen. Barack Obama as the next President of the United States. But who will this young Senator choose to serve in his cabinet? His choice for Secretaries of State, Defense and Treasury are key decisions that will shape the “Obama Doctrine” and determine whether he governs as a principled leftist, pragmatic leftist, or centrist. While not a perfect candidate, of the names floated thus far, I believe Republican Senator, Chuck Hagel would make the best Secretary of Defense in an Obama Administration.
Al-Qaida Website Supports McCain
In holding with the strategy Osama bin Laden has pushed for over a decade in his war against the United States an Al-Qaida linked website is reportedly choosing John McCain over Barack Obama for President because he will “continue the failed policies of Bush”.
