Stutzman is one of five Republican candidates seeking the Republican nomination for Indiana’s U.S. Senate seat this year.

CPAC attendees: Fiscal issues are main concern
Reading over the CPAC straw poll results (H/T to Hot Air), which included more than just the presidential straw poll, I am encourage to see that the conservative movement, at least those in attendence at the conference, are focusing more on fiscal issues than social issues.
I still don’t believe that conservatives are serious about reaching out to libertarians, but this is encouraging.

ACORN To Get ‘Stimulus’ Money?
The stimulus bill that Obama and the Democrats are trying to push through Congress includes lots of spending, which means bigger government and a bigger burden on the taxpayer. When it is all said and done this bill is estimated to cost over a trillion dollars. With that being said, opposition to this bill should be a no-brainer for any fiscal Conservative.
What may be the most insulting part of this bill is that the group ACORN, which is an advocacy group that is under investigation for voter fraud (and who routinely back Democratic Candidates in elections), may be eligible for billions of dollars of the ‘stimulus package.’
Senator Vitter Says the Auto Bailout is ‘ass backwards’
Senator David Vitter of Louisiana used colorful language today to describe the $15 billion loan to America’s most well known automakers:
Louisiana Sen. David Vitter had some colorful language to describe a proposed $15 billion loan to Detroit’s big three, calling the deal “ass backwards.”
Sanford Skeptical of Bailout
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is a voice of reason on the latest bailout:
I am worried for our country — not so much because of the tumult in the financial markets but because of the federal government’s response and its implications.
