Dennis Kucinich: A Man Whose Words I Believe

There’s not alot to the following campaign ad. It’s the standard “talk straight to the voter” ad that politicians use when they want to come across as a straight-shooter. The difference with this is that I found myself actually believing what Dennis Kucinich said and not wondering about how he’s spinning me. Kucinich is my favorite Democrat for a reason.

Though I don’t always like his politics, I like Congressman Dennis Kucinich. Frankly, I gotta love anyone who’s willing to file articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney. Out of the Democrat Presidential Candidates, Kucinich had been my favorite; but, unfortunately the media gave him about as much attention as they gave Dr. Paul.

During Fox Happy Hour, Dennis answers a myriad of questions about the TARP bailout, the impending sweep by the Democrats in Congress and Nancy Pelosi’s strange insistence that a heavily Democrat Congress will actually be “more bi-partisan.”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi isn’t fairing well in opinion polls:

Sixty percent (60%) of U.S. voters now have an unfavorable opinion of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, including 42% Very Unfavorable, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. A growing number of her doubters seem to be fellow Democrats.

U.S. lawmakers appeal to Obama against Afghan troop surge

A group of 15 Congressmen, led by Ron Paul (R-TX) and including Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Walter Jones (R-NC), have written a stern letter to President Obama appealing to him against his proposed troop surge in Afghanistan. This report from Russia Today’s Dina Gusovsky (who has achieved note for several interviews of Ron Paul, prompting the Congressman to joke with her that she was “stealing [his] thunder”), examines many issues and raises many questions about U.S. involvement in Afghanistan that appear to be receiving little or no attention from the Obama administration.

On Fox News Dennis Kucinich discusses the use of bailout dollars by banks.

NOTE: Dennis Kucinich, who supported the stimulus bill and obviously isn’t opposed to government bailouts on ideological levels, opposed the bailout back in September because he viewed it as little more than corporate welfare. It appears that he has been vindicated.
