Obamacare Enrollment Numbers: November

Below is the state-by-state look at the Obamacare enrollment numbers for November. The Obama Administration projected 700,000 enrollments through the end of November. Adding together the 106,185 enrollments in October and the 258,497 in November, the administration fell far short of that goal, getting around 52% of the projection.

To make matters worse, the administration is just 11% to the year-end estimate of 3.3 million enrollments.

Just a reminder that the term “enrollment” has been loosely defined by the administration as it includes those who have selected a plan but haven’t completed the check out process.

“Actual” is the number of selected plans as reported by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on December 11, 2013. “Needed” is number of enrollments each state needs in order to reach the administration’s 7 million goal when the open enrollment period ends on March 31, 2014 and “% of Total” is how far along states are to that goal.

States that opted to create their own exchange have been italicized. Medicaid and CHIP numbers have also been included below.
