They were not allowed to speak even though the invitation allowed any candidates “Running for Kentucky or National Office” because they were not from one of the main political parties.
The Barr Campaign has just released a new video entitled ‘The Time for Liberty’. It illustrates very beautifully what our country is up against, and how our freedoms have been encroached upon for over 50 years. It has been talked about for many years, but now is the Time for Liberty. Spread this video where you can.
A great video of Ron speaking on the house floor. It is ridiculous how the media has taken the whole Iraq rhetoric to a whole new level. The conversation in America has grown to be completely militaristic and hostile, without much regard or emphasis on diplomatic options.
We need to continue to look to Ron as the man who paved the way for Liberty in America!
P.S. I had a bit to drink tonight, we joked about it, but we all thought it was very interesting to see that Ron had changed his glasses style to be very similar to our beloved Bob Barr! Looks like I’ll be going shopping this weekend?
Bob released a video yesterday shortly after the DC vs. Heller decision was announced. The video has been received VERY well online. He really goes over why it was such a good decision for Liberty lovers.
It seems to me his supporters levels are starting to surge forward lately. The Ron Paul campaign experienced this same effect around July of last year as the videos started to take off around the same time Terra Eclipse started doing the flash trackers. In fact, in July of 2007, the Paul campaign was in just about the same YouTube standing as Bob’s as I recall.
Condoleezzaa Rice: “We’re not planning, or intending an attack on Iran.”
One of the key statements I picked up from Condi was this:
“Finally as to what we intend to do, when we have a carrier strike group into the Gulf…It’s simply to demonstrate that the US remains determined to defend it’s interests in the Gulf and the interests of it’s Allies. And that Congressman is a position that has been held by American Presidents going back 60 Years.”
60 years of some of the most horrific wars the world has ever seen? That is only the tip of the iceberg as far as what these policies have done to our reputation around the world. I’d highly recommend the books by Chalmers Johnson:
This story broke in February, but many people missed it. For those of you who don’t know Murray, he is currently campaigning for Senate in New Jersey. A traditional conservative who opposed the war, Murray occasionally rode on the coat tails of the Ron Paul Presidential Grassroots campaign, accepting Ron’s endorsement, even appearing at the April 15th Tax rally. His website talks about the Ron Paul campaign on many levels. In early February, this statement was released:
The Washington times just recently released a great article on Bob Barr. Here it is:
Former Rep. Bob Barr says a number of Republicans have been trying to persuade him not to run for president on the Libertarian Party ticket, but none has given him a convincing reason.
…Mr. Barr says even people who have tried to dissuade him understand why he thinks it important to raise issues from what he calls a “genuinely conservative” perspective and to offer alternatives to the positions of the two major-party candidates.
“In the month since we formed our exploratory committee, not a single Republican who has spoken with me to try and convince me not to seek the Libertarian nomination has disagreed with my reasons for considering a run,” Mr. Barr told The Times today in an e-mail exchange before leaving London on a flight to Atlanta.
Most Republicans who asked him not to run “also said they understand why I’d run and why John McCain is not conservative and will not seriously tackle the growth in government power and spending,” he said. “Some said they would vote for me if I ran, but for the sake of the Republican Party, they would prefer I didn’t.”
Mr. Barr will be speaking tomorrow at the National Press Club, I am personally going to be attending - should be very interesting to see his final decision.

This video perfectly illustrates why he won his election with such a large margin. Looking forward to a hard fought win in November!!
I just spoke with my source from the Bob Barr 08 campaign, and they say it is highly likely Bob will discuss the upcoming Convention and his potential candidacy on Monday. Looks like Mr. Barr will be making his final decision over the weekend while he enjoys his time in Europe after the recent debate. Looking forward to an official campaign here!!
Personally, I don’t think that it hurt him all that much by waiting, he obviously has a high chance of winning the nomination. That means a serious impact on ones life - especially if you are running to win, which it seems a few of these candidates aren’t taking seriously. Through my work with the Ron Paul campaign, I certainly saw what even a few months of “campaign time” can do to ones ‘regular’ work & family life.
Congratulations to Dr. Lawson! Lets all donate $5 dollars to his campaign to jump start them into the General Election. Lets also remember all of the people that have worked so hard and volunteered their time to help Dr. Lawson have such a strong showing in NC. With more money, Dr. Law will be able to hire these dedicated people as full time staff to make our General Election dreams come true.
We must remember that this is not just a fight for North Carolinians! Our country would benefit enormously from having 2 good Doctors on the House Floor - fighting for our rights - fighting for people who do not even realize they are being fought for.
