Brad Warbiany wins United Liberty’s College Football Challenge

We haven’t kept on this like we should have, but we have a winner in the United Liberty College Football Challenge.

Congrats to Brad Warbiany of The Liberty Papers dominated in the final weeks to come off on top and embarrass the rest of us. Matt Wittlief finished second, and I finished third.

Here is a look at the final standings:

  1. bwarbiany (Brad Warbiany) - 2054 points
  2. Winning Ugly (Matt Wittlief) - 1875
  3. JaseLiberty (Jason Pye) - 1821
  4. CarpeForem (Daniel Adams) - 1788
  5. Bring It On (Steve Handel) - 1776
  6. Marcus’ Picks (Marcus Adams) - 1707
  7. rockjohnson98 (B. Bittner) - 1291
  8. Liberty Dawgs (Tyler Burgess) - 1106

We will probably do this again next year, though I think we may do a “pick ‘em” instead of a fantasy style game.

Thanks for playing.

Jason knocks me out of 3rd on the final week… great, just Great!

I did notice over the season that ESPN’s injury and player status reports suck… multiple weeks a player I picked was listed as good to go, but either didn’t play because of suspension or injury. I think Yahoo Sports does a much better job at this.

Daniel,

Yeah, I agree that their injury reports suck. I had at least one week where it killed me (I think I had started Taylor Potts, who was out injured). I eventually started checking outside sources for injury reports.

All in all, I had a good time, and look forward to doing something next year.

I like Pick ‘Em better. There’s WAY too much involved with building a team and keeping up with it every week.
