Holder subpoenaed over Fast and Furious

Attorney General Eric Holder has been subpoenaed for his role in the whole “Fast & Furious” scandal. Apparently, Rep. Darrell Issa isn’t thrilled about the BATFE pushing gun store operators to sell guns knowing they were straw purchases – which is a violation of federal law – and then allow them to be taken to Mexico where they could be used in that nations growing problems with drug cartels. I can’t imagine what Issa’s problem with that could be.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) announced Wednesday that he has issued a subpoena to Attorney General Eric Holder for Justice Department documents related to the failed “Fast and Furious” gun-running operation.
The subpoena requests all of Holder’s communications on the Fast and Furious operation. It also requests any communications between the White House and DoJ relating to Operation Fast and Furious.
“Top Justice Department officials, including Attorney General Holder, know more about Operation Fast and Furious than they have publicly acknowledged,” said Rep. Issa in a statement on Wednesday. “The documents this subpoena demands will provide answers to questions that Justice officials have tried to avoid since this investigation began eight months ago. It’s time we know the whole truth.”
The subpoena lists 15 other Department of Justice personnel as well.
I still find it funny how we learn this after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama himself have lamented the number of guns bought in the United States that have turned up in Mexico’s drug war. They stood in front of microphones and said that, while their own Department of Justice was sending more and more guns south of the border in the first place.
Thus far, gun owners are still waiting for an apology from the White House. Not only did they over blow the percentages to make them look worse than they were, but the Justice Department is probably responsible for those guns in the first place.
Gun owners aren’t holding their breath.
Put Clinton and Obama on the border with no guns….no aids….no bodyguards.
No, they should be supplied with “bean bags” to defend themselves!!
