“Che Guevara was a murderer and your t-shirt is not cool”

Who was Che Guevara? While some kids sport a t-shirt with his image, most have no idea that he was a cold-blooded murderer:
The title of this post is also the name of a Facebook group. I’d encourage you to join it to raise awareness of Che’s real legacy.
Completely biased opinion, however the video was cute. I have a suggestion for you, how bout you challange your own murderous dictatorship which has claimed far more INNOCENT lives.
He was a true believer in humanity and chose to fight against what American corporatism, imperialism, globalization, whatever you want to call it was doing to the vast majority of the developing world, rather then just complain about it like you probably do.
Just to list a few of the positive accomplishments Che was able to achieve against all the odds.
- Worked in a Leper colony and treated lepers
- Was instrumental in teaching over 900,000 Cubans to read
- Tended to thousands of sick campesinos
- Helped construct dozens of schools throughout Cuba
- Removed the Mafia and dictatorship of Batista from Cuba which had killed 20,000 Cubans and tortured thousands more
- Desegregated the schools in Cuba before they were in the Southern US
- Called out South Africa’s Apartheid in 1964, 30 years before the West!
- Denounced the racism and KKK in America
- Warned of the dangers of the IMF, 3 decades before most of the developing world realized they had been scammed into debt slavery
- Left a bourgeoisie comfortable life of the upper class, a potential well compensated career as a medical doctor, and a high regarded governmental position, each time to slog through the jungle and fight guerrilla wars against impenetrable odds! … In fact, near the end it took 1,800 rangers to bring down his 25 men.
Che’s “CRIMES” were:
~ Stopping American companies from owning 70 % of the arable land in Cuba
~ Teaching peasants to read, by bringing the Cuban literacy rate from 60 to 97 %
~ Having the 200 or so War Criminals who killed 20,000 Cubans for Batista shot against a wall
~ Fighting white mercenaries in the African Congo with an all black army
~ Speaking out against US and eventually USSR Imperialism while demanding that the poor of the world be allowed to live a life of dignity
You’ve obviously never been by here before. We oppose corporatism and we’re anti-war. With that said, we do very much enjoy individualism, personal liberty, and free markets. Not the tyranny that comes with Communist murderers like Che.
Wow you are completely brainwashed. I’m guessing if we were talking about Hitler you would agree. Che idolized Mao, who murdered way more then Hitler. Che and Castro were Communist revolutionaries, idolized Mao, and killed over 20,000 Cubans not just from Bastista’s reign, but anyone who opposed revolution.
It is funny that teens who listen to rock, hate their parents, and question society would wear a shirt with Che on it when they would have been shot by Che himself. Che was not for individualism.
um..it’s funn to say that i don’t listen to rock, i don’t hate my parents, and i question society when it is needed. And Che would have not shot me.
