Wait, hold the phone, why can’t the IRS process itemized deductions normally this year, for 2010? The article claims that Congress acted so late (Dec 17th) and that’s the reason.
But Congress didn’t change the 2010 tax code, they changed the 2011 tax code RIGHT? So, there’s no change to the 2010 tax code as of Dec 17th 2010 (as the article claims).
I call BS. There’s something else going on here.
