A teen from New York has been suspended for daring to bring rosary beads to school because his actions “endangered the safety, health, morals or welfare of himself or others.”
This is ridiculous.

This is simply ridiculous and sad.

If he was wearing the rosary around his neck as he demonstrated, he should have been corrected. Rosaries are not necklaces. However, the beads themselves should not be banned as they are a legitimate religious symbol. Are we going to ban yarmulkes next?
