South Park’s 200th episode has gotten the attention of some radical Islamists:
The radical Islamic Web site Revolutionmuslim.com is going after the creators of the TV cartoon series “South Park” after an episode last week included an image of the Prophet Mohammed in disguise.
Revolutionmuslim.com, based in New York, was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting “jihad” against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Its organizers insist they act within the law and seek to protect Islam.
On Sunday, Revolutionmuslim.com posted an entry that included a warning to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that they risk violent retribution – after the 200th episode last week included a satirical discussion about whether an image of the prophet could be shown. In the end, he is portrayed disguised in a bear suit.
The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com says: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”
Theo van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by an Islamic extremist in 2004 after making a short documentary on violence against women in some Islamic societies. The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com features a graphic photograph of Van Gogh with his throat cut and a dagger in his chest.
The entry on Revolutionmuslim.com goes on to advise readers:
“You can contact them [the makers of South Park], or pay Comedy Central or their own company a visit at these addresses …” before listing Comedy Central’s New York address, and the Los Angeles, California, address of Parker and Sloane’s production compan

I hear muhammed is gay.
I think you have that confused Muhammad was a child molester. Senator Barney Franks is gay… People are3 always getting them confused.
Aw laudy, looks like someone has hacked the site.
Seriouslly…muslims…they are like those kids on the playground no-one likes, constantly trying to get attention. We should treat them like that kid. JUST IGNORE THEM. Completely. Dont report on this stupid crap they say, ignore their threats, draw LOTS of pictures of mohammed. They need to learn that they WORLD does live by THEIR laws. THEIR rules apply to muslims only. We arent muslim. WE CAN DO WHAT WE WANT.
Stupid freaking religion. Ive had enough of it.
“Religion of PEACE” - only 10% (100 Million) are violent extremists.
Nothing to worry about.
I disagree with doing nothing. I say make 100 episodes about Mohammed. Any muslim in the US planning an attack should be prosecuted for hate crimes conspiracy. Then again, if they can’t even light their shoe or blow up their underwear, are we really in any kind of trouble?
The “vomiting-novel” South Park was much more disgusting and unwatchable. The last two were really funny - facebook and Hollywood celebs. Everyone should see them and get a laugh.
I have a picture too. http://prophetmuhammadsuckcock.blogspot.com
Terroristic Threats - “A terroristic threat is a crime generally involving a threat to commit violence communicated with the intent to terrorize another, to cause evacuation of a building, or to cause serious public inconvenience, in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience. It may mean an offense against property or involving danger to another person that may include but is not limited to recklessly endangering another person, harassment, stalking, ethnic intimidation, and criminal mischief.”
We don’t follow Islamic Law in this country, we follow Secular Law. These terrorist bully-boys have broken our law and should be punished
The irony here is incredible. The lot over at Revolutionmuslim is doing exactly what Parker and Stone were satirizing in the episode. It shows not only a lack of humor but a lack of self-awareness.
It also shows the clear distinct lack of values between the Islamic world and the Western world. Here we (or most of us, anyway) take freedom of speech as a given, and even if something really gets us upset, we try to just get away from it or critique, shame or argue with the person who says it, not threaten to murder them or try to get the state to censor them. This is a very real dichotomy.

It would be one thing if a few fringe Muslims were saying that those who criticize them should be killed, but that seems to be the consensus response to any critique of their faith. This is a very real dichotomy.
“Philosophy, despite the best obfuscatory intentions of philosophers, occasionally seeps out of the ivory towers and informs our lives.”
