31 czars in Obama Administration

Doug Mataconis brings us our morning statistic:

Number of “Czars” appointed by the Obama Administration: 31

Number of Tsars of Russia serving from 1530-1918: 28

Among the many “czars,” the Obama Administration has an AIDS czar, a car czar, a Great Lakes czar, an information czar, a Mideast peace czar, a Mideast policy czar, a pay czar and a Sudan czar.

We are well past the point of being ridiculous.

This data is useless without comparisons to the quantity of leadership roles in prior presidencies. 31 sounds high, but maybe a former president had 3000 undersecretaries or some other title that was equivilient.

Without comparative data, there is no context, without context there is no meaning except for those who want to stick their thumb in the air and go “hmmm…that sounds high”.

Sadly for us, it appears that Obama’s poker skills are in the same league with his bowling and girly-style baseball throw.

Russia recieved much of what it wants before Obama even landed, i.e. council with NATO, so how would anybody expect Barack to gain advantage? Meanwhile, the Kremlin has failed even to comply with the terms of the truce signed with Georgia last year- continuing to do pretty much as it pleases.

I don’t see any reason to be doing deals with the Russians- they have nothing to offer the United States, IMO.

The one Wolrd order under the Tri-Lateral Commission has had for many years Czars in the organizational heiarchy of their club. Is this what is going on? Are we heading towards the “One World Order” where our rights arte dictated by someone outside the US?
