Oliver Stone says Americans are living in an “Orwellian state”

While he isn’t exactly friendly to the free market point of view, you have to hand it to Oliver Stone, at least he’s consistent in his criticism of presidents who overstep their constitutional boundaries.
During a recent interview, Stone, who directed JFK and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, told the Russia Today that the United States “has become an Orwellian state” and called President Barack Obama a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
While many on the Left have given silent consent to the policies of the current administration, including reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act and robbing Americans of due process through indefinite detention and drone strikes, Stone expressed shock and outrage at Obama, who was supposed to be “a great hope for change.”
“I think under the disguise of sheep’s clothing [Obama] has been a wolf,” Stone told the Russia Today. “That because of the nightmare of the Bush presidency that preceded him, people forgave him a lot.”
He added, “He has taken all the Bush changes he basically put them into the establishment, he has codified them.”
Stone, who has recently co-authored a new book with Peter Kuznick, The Untold History of the United States, showed concern for what contempt President Obama has shown during his first term and what his second term may have in store. He explained, “[W]e are going into the second administration that is living outside the law and does not respect the law and foundations of our system and he is a constitutional lawyer.”
“Without the law, it is the law of the jungle,” Stone noted. “Nuremburg existed for a reason and there was a reason to have trials, there is a reason for due process – ‘habeas corpus’ as they call it in the United States.”
Kuznick also chimed in on some of the privacy concerns that he sees with this sort of overreach. “The US government now intercepts more than 1.7 billion messages a day from American citizens. That is email, telephone calls, other forms of communication,” Kuznick noted. “Can you imagine: 1.7 billion? We’ve got this apparatus set up now with hundreds of thousands of people, over a million of people with top security clearances in this kind of nightmarish state, this 1984 kind of state.”
Stone agreed, noting that we now live in an “Orwellian state.”
“It might not be oppressive on the surface, but there is no place to hide,” Stone explained. “Some part of you is going to end up in the database somewhere.”

Stone is right. Obama is a dangerous tyrant.
BO is the worse president we have ever encountered, Slick as Oil, Clinton has nothing on him. OS is right. we are living in a state of mass observance, underground, invisible but there none the less. This man is as dangerous as Adolf Hitler in a covert way. Not outwardly but concealed hatred for our constitution and the American way of life. Even Hitler enjoyed the Spoils of war while professing to be the man of the people. Impeach BO now, he has trampled the Constitution and the Rule of law
Unfortunately impeachment would only pass thru congress, the Senate would not remove this imposter in chief and fraud of a President. He needs to be arrested charged and put on trial for high treason! So should his administration. Any politician that is violating their Oath and putting forth bills that violate the Constitution , or vote for these bills that attack our 2nd Amendment Rights should be arrested, removed from office, tried and sent to prison. Some should face a firing squad or hang. They should not be allowed to attempt what they are doing without grave consequences. Enough is Enough! I am sick and tired of these low life ungodly communist, Muslim lying tyrants!!!
We should give Oliver Stone credit. In Hollywood, being in opposition to our president can severely damage your career. Kudos to Oliver Stone for his honesty and courage.
Where was Stone in 2007 when many were warning about this shyster? Frankly, where was he in the throes of the last election? Now he’s just trying to sell books; I don’t trust a word he says.
Since Stone went a ways down the rabbit hole to make his movie on the JFK assassination, he SHOULD know that the office of POTUS is now essentially ceremonial with the real power lying several layers above that office. Given the globalists and financier class backing Obama’s run for the presidency, there was no question what was going to happen once he took office. How could Stone be duped that like, was it cognitive dissonance? Maybe the same cognitive dissonance that keeps him from looking at the hard evidence that 9/11 was a false flag attack. I am not quite sure what to make of Stone, he is obviously more truthful that someone like Michael Moore but he does the liberty movement (and those of us fighting for human dignity) no favors if he doesn’t fully grasp what is happening to our nation and the world, and then wittingly or unwittingly runs with limited hangouts.
They can’t keep anything a secret. If 9/11 was an inside job, how come Osama Bin Laden took credit for it, and if you want to claim that he works for the Iluminati, CIA, Rothschild, Mossad, Rockefeller, MI5, Soros, Zion, or Paul Wolfowitz, how come it doesn’t show up in Wikileeks?
You’ll say that Assange is their operative too and deliberately suppressed the 9/11 evidence so to assist the disinformation, won’t you?
