Big Boi offers support for the Second Amendment

Big Boi

Big Boi, one-half of the Atlanta-base hip-hop group Outkast, has been on a role lately. During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Big Boi described his political views as “libertarian,” explaining that he believes in “liberty, justice for all; liberty for all.”

During that same interview, Big Boi was asked about his opinion on gun rights. His response was epic and it makes me want to see him go toe-to-toe with Piers Morgan. The rapper said, “The right to bear arms is not just for hunting and fishing and thing like that. It’s for the American people to have a means of defense against a tyrannical government.”

“Sometimes you gotta have that back up plan,” Big Boi added.

When asked if he supported an assault weapons ban, Big Boi said, “I think people can have whatever they want to, as long as they’re responsible.”
