Ben Swann takes down Piers Morgan’s anti-gun rhetoric

Piers Morgan

Since the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, Piers Morgan has been using his CNN talk show to rail against guns and calling for stricter gun control measures. On his most recent “Reality Check” segment, Ben Swann went over some of the statistics that Morgan has been using on his show, noting that the CNN host has been less than forthright:

This article is a complete fabrication. Even if you took Morgans number of 35 to be wrong the one you presented is 59. The difference is 24. Hardly close to 8500 in the US. Secondly, stop using the false stat of violent crime in your comparision of Britian and the US. When the US looks at violent crime they only look at 5 categories. The British statistics look at many more categories INCLUDING all 5 of the categories in the US statistics. Stop lying and look at the numbers with someone who has a tenth grade education.
