Eva Longoria’s Arrogance

Eva Longoria

It seems the Democrat party just doesn’t have a whole lot to run on this year. Their convention this week has been either a big rally for the mythical “War on Women” a celebration of abortion and a “we hate rich people”* fest. After all, the only alternative to this farce is to actually talk about their record. But, that’s probably not a good idea for Team Obama given the high unemployment, a $16 trillion debt, high energy prices, an unpopular healthcare plan, etc. ad nauseum. The Obama-Biden record is one of failure across the board, therefore they have to rely on distractions like these.

One of the pretty faces chosen to deliver the class warfare message is Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives fame.

Actress Eva Longoria doesn’t need to take a break — a tax break, that is.

“Mitt Romney would raise taxes on middle-class families to cut his own — and mine,” Longoria, best known for her role on the TV show “Desperate Housewives,” said Thursday in a speech at the Democratic National Convention. “And that’s not who we are as a nation, and let me tell you why: because the Eva Longoria who worked at Wendy’s flipping burgers — she needed a tax break. But the Eva Longoria who works on movie sets does not.”

First of all, the claim that Mitt Romney will raise taxes on the middle class to cut taxes for the rich is not true. Secondly, if Eva Longoria does not want her tax cut, she is more than welcome to give that money back to the Treasury. Third, who does Eva Longoria think creates jobs? A hint for her, it’s not the person at Wendy’s flipping burgers.

Who the hell does Eva Longoria think she is to tell any American whether or not they “need” a tax cut!? It’s our money in the first damn place.

*They only hate rich people who don’t donate to Obama-Biden or the Democrat Party. Some could call the process by which some rich people donate to Democrats as “paying their protection money”. It works just like a good old-fashioned mafia shakedown.

So Eva Longoria the actress WILL create jobs with a tax break? Huh? How?

This idea that tax breaks to rich individuals or large corporations will create jobs doesn’t even pass the common sense test (please note I didn’t include small businesses in that). Individuals don’t create jobs with their personal money by any kind of an amount worth mentioning, and corporations hire based on demand, not saving a little money.

Like a man, you would of course say that this “War on Women” is just a myth.
I forgot, my body, my vagina/uterus, my choices, are all something that I should share with everyone in the decision making process.
You should change the article title to “Kevin Boyd’s Arrogance”

Apparently everything’s a “war on ‘insert minority group here’” nowadays…Social liberals LOVE to play these games and claim anything that goes wrong is someone else’s fault. Personal responsibility doesn’t even cross their minds. They whine and claim they didn’t get their way because someone oppressed them and on and on and on.. Get a life!

These people are either calculating propagandists playing on the ignorant with psych warfare tactics for their own political gain, OR they themselves are morons of the worst order… Here’s an idea: If you don’t like the way things are going GET UP and GO DO something about it. Stop whining!!

Every Kevin Boyd post leaves me wondering why an Erick Erickson style social conservative writes for a libertarian blog.

“Third, who does Eva Longoria create jobs?”-That does not make any sense at all. I suggest you edit your writing.

You’re crazy. Eva longoria made her way up, she didn’t always have money. The middle class pays more taxes than those who are rich. Eva’s willing to sacrifice her own money for the middle class. If you have money, good for you. On behalf of everyone in the middle class, a tax cut is only fair and according to Romney’s history as governor in Massachusets, we’re doomed if he gets elected President. As Clinton said, “I’m sorry Obama didn’t clean up our mess fast enough”. Look at where we are now compared to 4 years ago. We have only improved. So, I suggest you get your facts straight before you open your mouth.

First she should concentrate on acting and now that she is dating Mark Sanchez the Jets season is over CC Tony Parker(did better when he got rid of her). There is no war on women the abortion issue is brought up for the last 25 years and nothing has changed
Under Obama men, are making more than women. Obama campaign begging for the younger people for donations, because Romney out raising him 5-1.The college kids who donated last time aren’t this time because they do not have jobs. Last time I voted for Obama this time I won’t.

I think all of those concerned movie stars should donate money to cut the deficit instead of raising campaign funds. They are stepping out of bounds and using their Hollywood ties recklessly when they could do a lot of good for their fellow Americans!
