Occupy Wall Street - what’s that?  They’ve gone away, right? They haven’t.  They’re regrouping and preparing to ramp up.  Nick Tomboulides, Andrew McCaughey, and Danielle Saul recorded some remarks made by Mike Golash, former President Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 689, and others at a OccupyDC meeting held August 19, 2012.

They are not hiding their goals anymore - and no matter what your stance on the current state of our government, what is being said here should shock all patriots.

GOLASH: Progressive labor is a revolutionary Communist organization.  Its objective is to make revolution in the United States, overthrow the capitalist system, and build communism.  We’re trying to learn something from the historical revolutions of the past, the Russian revolution, the Chinese revolution, the revolutions in Cuba and Eastern Europe.

What can we learn from them so we can build a more successful movement to transform capitalist society?

The “historical revolutions of the past” don’t include the American Revolution - a revolution which created true freedom and prosperity and has been a model for such - but includes revolutions in which dictators were created who brutally tortured and slaughtered millions of their own people?

GOLASH: An organization has to be built which can bring down capitalism.  The capitalists, they have their organizations, the FBI, the CIA, the Secret Police, the military, the Army, et cetera, et cetera.  They have organizations to maintain their power.  It’s foolish to think that without a disciplined organization made up not of a few people, but millions and millions of people, can bring down capitalism.

Well, he’s correct that it would take a disciplined organization made up not of a few people to bring down the American government. And how many people are in organized labor? Millions? Wake up and realize that people within our own country are waging WAR on the economic system of our country - and thus all of us - and anticipating violence:

VOICE: We’re not a group of pacifists.  If anything, we’re a group that understands that if you become violent with the power structures and you don’t have the support of the military, the military is going to come in and wipe you out.  No doubt about it.  Especially with [inaudible] their technology today.

FILMMAKER: So long term you guys are more worried about like an actual confrontation with the federal government?

VOICE: Essentially, yeah.

This really scares me. Yes, it’s only one Occupy group’s meeting - but their leader clearly has ties with union management, and would not speak so openly and authoritatively without backing. And through other upcoming documentaries like “Occupy Unmasked,” we know that this is not an isolated incident of a leader mischaracterizing something or a rogue follower anticipating violence.

Wake up and understand that the foundation of our society is under seige by those who would suppress choice and individual liberties.
